The name "PsyFamily" emerged following our first official event on January 28, 2018, in Rüti, Zurich. Inspired by the deep connection among the participants and our shared passion for psytrance, the term "PsyFamily" was initially used as an apt description of our community. Later that year, this name was officially adopted and declared the association's name. The name combines our musical direction ("Psy" for psytrance) with the strong sense of family that has characterized us since the beginning – a feeling we strive to convey to our visitors at every event.
